Hakkımda

My lessons are all about interactivity and maximising your learning time. Improving your confidence when speaking English is my main goal, as well as developing your understanding of English grammar as we go. We learn at your pace, and focus on topics that interest you.

I have a Master's Degree in Media Studies, and a TEFL Certificate. I've taught at university level and love working with young adults and professionals. My goal is to make teaching online my full-time job, so I'm eager to help my students achieve their English language goals.

If you're interested, book a session with me and let's get learning English!

Çalışma Deneyimi

2014 - 2015
Writing Centre Co-ordinator
Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University - Port Elizabeth, South Africa
I correspond with both students and academic staff to organise workshops and/or face-to-face consultations for students who struggle with various aspects of their academic writing. The majority of the students who visit us are L2 learners who find the language and academic writing aspects of the Department difficult. While responsible for planning the content and format of the workshops, I also manage the hours of the Writing Centre’s four respondents, who consult with students. This role has seen me develop my skills as a facilitator of academic literacy development, and has taught me valuable inter-personal skills when dealing with both students and academic staff.
2013 - 2013
Writing Centre Respondent
Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University - Port Elizabeth, South Africa
As an academic writing respondent, I have become skilled in providing feedback to L2 learners, both via email, during consultations, and in the classroom. My feedback mainly seeks to improve the higher-order aspects of students’ writing, which promotes the idea of writing-as-process, and de-emphasizes the importance of editing. Ultimately, this role entails improving the academic literacies of students from diverse backgrounds.
