Hi! My name is Andres, I am a Certified ELE Teacher from south Spain, and I base my method in the Virtual Language Immersion. I became languages teacher 4 years ago, when I started the trip that changed my life, bringing me through South Asia and Oceania. I believe that everybody can learn new languages, and I want to be your guide in your spanish learning. How will I do it? I will first listen what do you need and expect, and then organize a plan adapted to you.
Sincerely, an online lesson is quite helpful in a language learning process, but if it is not combined with an active off-lesson attitude it won´t be efficient in the long term. Because of that I base my teaching on the Virtual Language Immersion, a system of online tools you can use to get immersed in a language without moving abroad. The combination of these tools with online tutoring lessons will boost your fluency in Spanish. Want to learn more about Virtual Language Immersion? Book your trial lesson and I will tell you about it.
From my perspective, as a beginner, the cornerstone is simply "speak the languge from the day 1", don´t worry about grammar, vocabulary or "proper speaking", just communicate. It is more than enough to communicate with one present, one past and one future. We will have time in the future for grammar rules and more specific stuff. Once reached this point, I will give you simple and easy to use rules in stead of endless lists of uses. Learning by this method the improvement will be faster and funnier, so you will also acquire the skills needed to pass your exams, don´t worry about that!
My experience as spanish teacher has been in New Zealand for 2 years, and the last 6 months giving 1to1 lessons in Brighton, both face to face and online. During my travels in Asia I also taught english and spanish as a volunteer in India and Thailand. I love to talk about almost any topic, specially about travels, languages, history, education, music, politics, cooking, nutrition, agriculture and permaculture.
¿Cuál es el "mejor" español?
Es muy común la tendencia entre estudiantes por querer aprender el español "puro" o auténtico, pero ¿quién determina que una variedad del español es mejor que otra?
