I'm a native English and Spanish speaker from Colombia but raised in the U.S. I have a bachelor's degree in marketing and management, a master degree in international relations and a TEFL certification. My English teaching experience started back in 2014 when I taught in a summer camp in Mexico and then at a winter camp in Tokyo, Japan in 2015. More recently I taught English to refugees in Spain in the fall of 2018. Teaching comes naturally to me as I myself am a good learner. I have studied French, Dutch, and German but currently focusing on my Dutch.
I have been a private English teacher since January 2018. It started out as a hobby but it has now become a passion of mine. I have taught to all ages, levels, and backgrounds but my specialty lies within Business English, Job or VISA interview preparation and undergraduate and graduate level writing. My lessons are personalized according to your needs and goals but my style of teaching focuses on conversation, grammar, and comprehension. Not only I want you to understand the language but also to fully express yourself orally or in writing.
During my undergraduate, I was nominated for a business writing award and during my master, I was recognized by the president of the school for my excellent essays and research papers. I pay attention to detail and put my heart in everything I do. It will be no different teaching you. I am open-minded, flexible, charismatic and pro-active so I guarantee our lessons will be worthwhile!
