I currently hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from University of Louisville in Kentucky. Through my degree I earned an ESL (English as a Second Language) Certification and I also have a 50-hour TEFL certification through the TEFL Org UK online program. I have experience private tutoring English Language Learners and I am currently teaching English to college-age students at Duoc UC in Santiago, Chile. As much as I enjoy teaching, I equally enjoy learning. My favorite things to learn are new languages! I speak German proficiently and I am currently learning Spanish. My goal one day is to be fully trilingual in these languages.
My knowledge and experience comes from both sides of the language acquisition process, whether I'm learning a new language or assisting someone else in their language learning. The most important strategy I apply to all my lessons is giving students various opportunities to use the target language. It can be an extension from a concept we’ve just learned or using conversational language as a warm-up.
